SWITCHING CELL RESELECTION PARAMETERS - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18625089 titled 'SWITCHING CELL RESELECTION PARAMETERS
The abstract of this patent application discusses aspects related to wireless communication, specifically focusing on cell reselection parameters for user equipment (UE).
- User equipment (UE) may receive information about cell reselection parameters, including location of network entities and selected sets of parameters.
- The UE can select and use these parameters for cell reselection, improving network connectivity and performance.
Potential Applications:
- Enhanced network connectivity for mobile devices.
- Improved handover between different cell towers for seamless communication.
Problems Solved:
- Addressing issues with cell reselection parameters to optimize network performance.
- Ensuring smooth transitions between different network cells for uninterrupted communication.
Benefits:
- Enhanced user experience with better network connectivity.
- Improved efficiency in network handover processes.
Commercial Applications:
- Telecom companies can utilize this technology to enhance their network performance and provide better service to customers.
Questions about the Technology: 1. How does this technology improve network handover processes? 2. What impact does optimized cell reselection parameters have on overall network performance?
Original Abstract Submitted
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive first information relating to a first set of cell reselection parameters or a second set of cell reselection parameters, the first information including at least one of: second information indicating a location of one or more network entities, or third information indicating a selected set of cell reselection parameters of the first set of cell reselection parameters or the second set of cell reselection parameters. The UE may select the selected set of cell reselection parameters according to the first information. The UE may perform cell reselection according to the selected set of cell reselection parameters. Numerous other aspects are described.
