An embodiment method of controlling an electrified vehicle includes, in a towing state of the electrified vehicle in which the electrified vehicle is moving by being towed by a towing vehicle, determining an optimal regenerative torque of a motor provided in the electrified vehicle based on a driving direction of the towing vehicle and a relative state between left and right wheels of the electrified vehicle and controlling the motor based on the optimal regenerative torque.
