COMMUNICATION METHOD AND COMMUNICATION APPARATUS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18591751 titled 'COMMUNICATION METHOD AND COMMUNICATION APPARATUS

The abstract of this patent application describes a method where a terminal device uses information to determine a Physical Resource Block (PRB) index and a Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) resource index to transmit uplink control information.

  • Simplified Explanation:

- A terminal device uses information to find PRB and PUCCH resource indexes for transmitting uplink control information.

  • Key Features and Innovation:

- Utilizes a formula or value set to determine PRB index. - Receives PUCCH resource index for transmission. - Calculates PRB index for PUCCH resource transmission.

  • Potential Applications:

- Wireless communication systems. - Mobile networks. - Internet of Things (IoT) devices.

  • Problems Solved:

- Efficient allocation of resources. - Improved uplink control information transmission. - Enhanced communication reliability.

  • Benefits:

- Optimal resource allocation. - Enhanced network performance. - Reliable uplink control transmission.

  • Commercial Applications:

- Telecom companies for network optimization. - IoT device manufacturers for efficient communication. - Mobile network operators for improved service quality.

  • Questions about the Technology:

1. How does this technology improve resource allocation in wireless communication systems? - This technology enhances resource allocation by using specific indexes to optimize transmission efficiency.

2. What impact does this technology have on the reliability of uplink control information transmission? - This technology improves the reliability of uplink control information transmission by accurately determining resource indexes for transmission.

Original Abstract Submitted

A first terminal device obtains first information, where the first information includes a first formula or a value set of an offset, and the first formula or the value set of the offset is used to determine a physical resource block PRB index; the first terminal device receives second information, where the second information includes a physical uplink control channel PUCCH resource index; and the first terminal device determines a PRB index of a PUCCH resource based on the first information and the PUCCH resource index, where the PUCCH resource is used by the first terminal device to transmit uplink control information.
