An apparatus comprises means configured to: receive information indicating that one or more of a plurality of indicators is to be changed from one of masked and unmasked to the other of masked and unmasked, wherein: the one or more indicators comprise one or more transmission configuration indicators; when an indicator of the plurality of indicators is masked, configuration associated with the respective indicator is not used; and when an indicator of the plurality of indicators is unmasked, configuration associated with the respective indicator is usable.
