DUST-REMOVING DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18570984 titled 'DUST-REMOVING DEVICE

Simplified Explanation: The dust-removing device described in the patent application includes a cover plate that houses a sensor detection unit and a blowing unit that blows fluid onto the cover plate to remove dust.

Key Features and Innovation:

  • The blowing unit consists of a buffer tank, a Coanda channel, and a blow outlet.
  • The buffer tank temporarily stores the fluid before it is blown onto the cover plate.
  • The Coanda channel, with a curved Coanda surface, guides the fluid from the buffer tank to the blow outlet using the Coanda effect.
  • The blow outlet directs the fluid along the surface of the cover plate to remove dust effectively.

Potential Applications: This technology can be used in various industries such as electronics manufacturing, clean room facilities, and household cleaning products.

Problems Solved: The device addresses the issue of dust accumulation on sensitive equipment and surfaces, providing a more efficient and effective way to remove dust particles.

Benefits:

  • Improved dust removal efficiency
  • Reduced maintenance costs for cleaning sensitive equipment
  • Enhanced cleanliness in various environments

Commercial Applications: The technology can be utilized in industries such as semiconductor manufacturing, pharmaceutical production, and data centers to maintain clean and dust-free environments, improving overall operational efficiency.

Prior Art: Readers can explore prior art related to fluid-based dust removal devices in the field of industrial cleaning equipment and sensor technology.

Questions about Dust-Removing Devices: 1. How does the Coanda effect contribute to the efficiency of dust removal in this device? 2. What are the potential challenges in implementing this technology in different industrial settings?

Original Abstract Submitted

A dust-removing device includes: a cover plate that covers a sensor detection unit; and a blowing unit that includes a buffer tank, a Coanda channel, and a blow outlet and that blows a fluid onto the cover plate. The buffer tank stores the fluid temporarily. The Coanda channel connects the buffer tank and the blow outlet, has a curved Coanda surface, and guides the fluid flowing from the buffer tank into the Coanda channel to the blow outlet, pulling the fluid toward the Coanda surface by the Coanda effect. The blow outlet blows out the fluid in a direction along a surface of the cover plate.
