The display panel may include a base substrate having a first base layer, a second base layer, and a first barrier layer disposed between the first base layer and the second base layer, a light-emitting element disposed on the base substrate, and an encapsulation layer disposed on the light-emitting element, and the first barrier layer may include a (1-1)-th barrier layer disposed on the first base layer and having a first thickness and a first refractive index, and a (1-2)-th barrier layer disposed on the (1-1)-th barrier layer and having a second thickness greater than the first thickness and a second refractive index less than the first refractive index.
