Original Abstract Submitted

A method and apparatus comprising computer code configured to cause a processor or processors to receive a bitstream comprising a mesh representing an encoded volumetric data of at least one three-dimensional (3D) visual content, the mesh including a group of frames including a current frame and a reference frame, obtain, from the received bitstream, a high-level syntax indicating a motion field for the mesh, and the motion field includes a difference between a first vertex position in the current frame and a second vertex position in the reference frame, and decode the mesh based at least on the high-level syntax.
