ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND OPERATING METHOD THEREOF - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18437758 titled 'ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND OPERATING METHOD THEREOF
Simplified Explanation
The patent application describes an electronic device and its method of operation, which involves acquiring information about the state of a wireless channel, calculating signal similarity based on specific sections of this information, and determining if motion detection is possible based on the pattern of signal similarity.
- The electronic device stores executable instructions in memory.
- The processor executes these instructions to gather multi-pass channel state property information from a wireless signal received from an access point.
- It then calculates signal similarity based on specific sections of this information.
- Finally, it determines the availability of motion detection based on the pattern of signal similarity.

Original Abstract Submitted
An electronic device and an operating method thereof are disclosed. The disclosed electronic device comprises: a memory storing at least one executable instruction; and a processor configured to execute the at least one executable instruction to acquire multi-pass channel state property information on the basis of a wireless signal received from an access point (AP) communicating with the electronic device, calculate signal similarity by specific section on the basis of the multi-pass channel state property information, and determine, on the basis of a pattern of signal similarity by specific section, whether motion detection based on the multi-pass channel state property information is available.
