AEROSOL GENERATING DEVICE AND OPERATING METHOD THEREOF - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18425868 titled 'AEROSOL GENERATING DEVICE AND OPERATING METHOD THEREOF

Simplified Explanation: The patent application describes an aerosol generating device that includes a heater, a puff sensor, and a processor. The processor is designed to monitor the remaining puffs in the device, adjust the power supply to the heater based on the remaining puffs, and maintain a target temperature.

  • The device includes a heater that heats an aerosol generating article.
  • A puff sensor detects the user's puff.
  • A processor monitors the remaining puffs in the device.
  • The processor adjusts the power supply to the heater based on the remaining puffs.
  • The device maintains a target temperature for optimal aerosol generation.

Potential Applications: This technology can be applied in electronic cigarettes, vaping devices, and other aerosol-generating products to enhance user experience and optimize aerosol production.

Problems Solved: This technology addresses the issue of inconsistent aerosol generation in devices due to variations in user puffing behavior and remaining puff count.

Benefits: - Improved user experience with consistent aerosol production - Optimal heating of the aerosol generating article - Prolonged device lifespan by preventing overheating

Commercial Applications: Title: Advanced Aerosol Generating Device for Enhanced User Experience This technology can be utilized in the e-cigarette and vaping industry to create more efficient and user-friendly devices, potentially increasing market competitiveness and consumer satisfaction.

Questions about Aerosol Generating Devices: 1. How does the processor in the device monitor the remaining puffs? 2. What are the potential safety implications of adjusting the power supply to the heater based on the remaining puffs?

Original Abstract Submitted

An aerosol generating device includes a heater configured to heat at least part of an aerosol generating article, a puff sensor configured to detect a user's puff, and a processor electrically connected to the heater and the puff sensor, wherein the processor is configured to detect a remaining puff number of the aerosol generating article by using the puff sensor, compare a detected remaining puff number with the preset puff number, stop power supply to the heater for a preset time when the detected remaining puff number is less than the preset puff number, and supply power to the heater after the preset time elapses, such that a temperature of the heater reaches a target temperature corresponding to the remaining puff number. In addition, various embodiments may be implemented through the specification.
