INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE AND METHOD - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18324155 titled 'INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE AND METHOD

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes an information processing device that determines whether to re-lease a vehicle based on its evaluation result.

  • The control unit of the device acquires the evaluation result of the vehicle's state using a predetermined evaluation method.
  • If the evaluation result indicates that the vehicle does not require repair, the device outputs that the vehicle is to be leased again.
  • If the evaluation result indicates that the vehicle needs repair, the device outputs that the vehicle is to be sold.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • Vehicle leasing companies can use this technology to efficiently manage their fleet of vehicles.
  • Car rental companies can benefit from this technology to make decisions on whether to re-lease or sell a vehicle.

Problems solved by this technology:

  • Helps in making informed decisions on whether to re-lease or sell a vehicle based on its condition.
  • Streamlines the process of managing a fleet of vehicles by automating the evaluation and decision-making process.

Benefits of this technology:

  • Increases efficiency in managing vehicle fleets.
  • Reduces the risk of leasing out vehicles that require repair, leading to improved customer satisfaction.
  • Helps in maximizing the profitability of vehicle leasing companies.

Original Abstract Submitted

The information processing device determines whether or not to re-lease the first vehicle after returning from the lease. The information processing device includes a control unit. The control unit is configured to acquire, for the first vehicle, a evaluation result of a state according to a predetermined evaluation method, and output that the first vehicle is to be leased again when the evaluation result indicates that the first vehicle does not require repair, and output that the first vehicle is to be sold when the evaluation result indicates that the first vehicle needs repair.
