LLM INTEGRATIONS WITH SPREADSHEET ENVIRONMENTS - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18322376 titled 'LLM INTEGRATIONS WITH SPREADSHEET ENVIRONMENTS
The technology described in this patent application involves an application service that interacts with a Large Language Model (LLM) service.
- The application service receives natural language input from a user associated with a spreadsheet.
- It generates a prompt based on the user input and at least a portion of the spreadsheet.
- The prompt is then submitted to the LLM service for a reply.
- The application service receives a response from the LLM service and acts on it based on the reply.
Potential Applications: This technology could be used in various industries such as data analysis, customer service, and content generation.
Problems Solved: This technology streamlines the process of interacting with spreadsheets and LLM services, making it more efficient and user-friendly.
Benefits: The benefits of this technology include improved productivity, enhanced user experience, and more accurate responses to user queries.
Commercial Applications: This technology could be valuable for companies that rely on data analysis, customer interactions, and content creation. It could improve workflow efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Questions about the technology: 1. How does this technology improve the user experience with spreadsheets and LLM services? This technology simplifies the process of interacting with spreadsheets and LLM services, making it more user-friendly and efficient.

Original Abstract Submitted
Technology is disclosed herein for an application service which interfaces with an LLM service. In an implementation, the application service receives a natural language input from a user associated with a spreadsheet. The application service generates a prompt based on the user input and at least a portion of the spreadsheet and submits the prompt to a large language model (LLM) service. The application service receives a reply to the prompt from the LLM service and responds to the input based on the reply from the LLM service.
