TWO-COMPONENT SYSTEM FOR PREPARING DEODORANT POLYURETHANE FOAMS - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18262211 titled 'TWO-COMPONENT SYSTEM FOR PREPARING DEODORANT POLYURETHANE FOAMS
Simplified Explanation: The patent application describes a two-component system for creating deodorant polyurethane foams, along with methods for preparing and using these foams.
- This innovation involves a system with two components: Component A contains compounds reactive towards isocyanates, a blowing agent, catalyst, and optional additives. Component B includes polyisocyanates and an anhydride.
- The method outlined in the patent application details how to create deodorant polyurethane foams using the two-component system.
- These polyurethane foams can be used in various applications due to their deodorizing properties and unique composition.
Potential Applications: The deodorant polyurethane foams created using this system can be used in industries such as automotive, construction, and furniture manufacturing.
Problems Solved: This technology addresses the need for deodorant solutions in foam products, providing a versatile and effective method for creating polyurethane foams with odor-neutralizing properties.
Benefits: The deodorant polyurethane foams offer enhanced odor control, making them ideal for applications where maintaining a fresh environment is crucial. Additionally, the two-component system simplifies the foam production process.
Commercial Applications: "Deodorant Polyurethane Foam System for Odor Control in Various Industries"
This technology can be utilized in automotive interiors, building insulation, and furniture manufacturing to create products with long-lasting odor control properties, catering to consumers' preferences for fresh and clean environments.
Questions about Deodorant Polyurethane Foams: 1. What are the key components of the two-component system for creating deodorant polyurethane foams? 2. How do the deodorant polyurethane foams differ from traditional polyurethane foams in terms of odor control effectiveness?
Original Abstract Submitted
Disclosed herein is a two-component system for preparing deodorant polyurethane foams, which system includes component A including (b) at least one compound having at least two hydrogen atoms reactive toward isocyanates, (c) optionally chain extender and/or crosslinking agent, (d) blowing agent, (e) catalyst, and (f) optionally auxiliaries and additives, and component B including (a) at least one polyisocyanate, and (g) at least one anhydride. Further disclosed herein are a method of preparing deodorant polyurethane foams by the two-component system and a method of using such polyurethane foams in certain applications.
