TUBE ROUTING SYSTEM FOR A COOLING APPLIANCE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18149259 titled 'TUBE ROUTING SYSTEM FOR A COOLING APPLIANCE

The patent application describes a cooling appliance with a vacuum-insulated chamber, a cooling device, a partition, a compartment, a compressor, a condenser, coolant tubes, a conduit, a shroud bracket, a drainage routing tube, and a drain tube mount.

  • The cooling appliance has a vacuum-insulated chamber to regulate temperature.
  • A partition separates the vacuum-insulated chamber from a compartment where the compressor and condenser are located.
  • Coolant tubes connect the compressor, condenser, and cooling device.
  • A conduit provides power to the compressor and extends to the condenser.
  • A shroud bracket retains the coolant tubes in at least one slot.
  • A drainage routing tube directs water from the cooling device to a drain tube mount.
  • The drain tube mount includes a retention feature connected to a drainage receptacle.

Potential Applications: - This technology can be used in refrigerators, freezers, and other cooling appliances. - It can also be applied in industrial refrigeration systems and cold storage units.

Problems Solved: - Efficient cooling and temperature regulation in vacuum-insulated chambers. - Proper drainage of water from the cooling device.

Benefits: - Energy-efficient cooling operation. - Improved temperature control in insulated chambers. - Effective water drainage system.

Commercial Applications: Title: Innovative Cooling Appliance Technology for Commercial Refrigeration Systems This technology can be utilized in commercial refrigeration systems in supermarkets, restaurants, and food storage facilities, enhancing cooling efficiency and reducing energy consumption.

Questions about Cooling Appliance Technology: 1. How does the vacuum-insulated chamber contribute to energy efficiency in cooling appliances?

  - The vacuum-insulated chamber helps to minimize heat transfer, reducing the workload on the cooling device and improving energy efficiency.

2. What role does the drainage routing tube play in the overall functionality of the cooling appliance?

  - The drainage routing tube ensures proper disposal of water generated during the cooling process, preventing water buildup and potential damage to the appliance.

Original Abstract Submitted

A cooling appliance includes a body defining a vacuum-insulated chamber. A cooling device is configured to regulate a temperature in the vacuum-insulated chamber. A partition is adjacent to the vacuum-insulated chamber and a compartment is spaced from the vacuum-insulated chamber by the partition. A compressor and a condenser are located in the compartment and at least one coolant tube is in fluid communication with the compressor, the condenser, and the cooling device. A conduit provides power to and extends between the compressor and the condenser. A shroud bracket is located between the compressor and the condenser and defines at least one slot that retains the at least one coolant tube. A drainage routing tube extends from the cooling device to a drain tube mount and the drain tube mount includes a retention feature connected to a drainage receptacle.
