VEHICLE LOWERING AND LIFTING SYSTEM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18124819 titled 'VEHICLE LOWERING AND LIFTING SYSTEM

The abstract describes a system designed to raise and lower the chassis of a vehicle using a damper and an actuation assembly.

  • The system includes a damper connected to the chassis and an actuation assembly with a rotatable arm and a motor.
  • The rotatable arm is connected to the damper and a control arm of the vehicle, allowing the damper to move between raised and lowered positions.
  • The motor rotates the rotatable arm to adjust the height of the chassis as needed.

Potential Applications: - Automotive industry for adjustable suspension systems - Off-road vehicles for varying ground clearance - Racing vehicles for aerodynamic adjustments

Problems Solved: - Provides a convenient way to adjust the chassis height of a vehicle - Enhances vehicle performance and handling in different driving conditions

Benefits: - Improved control and stability of the vehicle - Customizable ride height for different purposes - Enhanced driving experience for users

Commercial Applications: Title: "Innovative Vehicle Chassis Height Adjustment System for Enhanced Performance" This technology can be used in high-performance vehicles, off-road vehicles, and customized cars to improve handling and performance. It can also be marketed to automotive enthusiasts and racing teams looking to optimize their vehicles.

Prior Art: Readers can explore existing patents related to vehicle suspension systems, adjustable chassis components, and motorized damper systems to understand the background of this technology.

Frequently Updated Research: Stay updated on advancements in vehicle suspension technology, motorized damper systems, and adjustable chassis components to see how this innovation continues to evolve.

How does this system compare to traditional methods of adjusting vehicle chassis height? - This system offers a more efficient and precise way to adjust the chassis height compared to manual methods. 2. What are the potential safety implications of using this technology in vehicles? - Safety considerations may include proper installation and maintenance to ensure the system functions correctly and does not compromise vehicle stability.

Original Abstract Submitted

A system configured to raise and lower a chassis of a vehicle. The system includes a damper with a first end connected to the chassis and a second end that is opposite to the first end. An actuation assembly includes a rotatable arm and a motor configured to rotate the rotatable arm, the rotatable arm is connected to both the second end of the damper and a control arm of the vehicle. Rotation of the rotatable arm by the motor moves the damper between a raised position to raise the chassis and a lowered position to lower the chassis.
