AEROSOL INHALER INCLUDING NICOTINE TRANSITION UNIT - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17927604 titled 'AEROSOL INHALER INCLUDING NICOTINE TRANSITION UNIT
The abstract describes an aerosol inhaler with a nicotine transition unit that controls the amount of nicotine transition to ensure consistency.
- First container filled with nicotine-containing solution and propellant
- Second container connected to first container to be filled with liquid from first container
- Propellant exists in liquid and gas state in first container
- Predicts and controls amount of nicotine transition
- Ensures actual amount does not deviate significantly from predicted value
Potential Applications
The technology can be used in the development of nicotine replacement therapy products, smoking cessation aids, and other inhalation devices.
Problems Solved
This technology addresses the challenge of maintaining consistent nicotine delivery in aerosol inhalers, ensuring users receive the intended dosage without fluctuations.
Benefits
- Consistent nicotine delivery - Enhanced user experience - Improved effectiveness of nicotine replacement therapy - Precise control over nicotine transition
Commercial Applications
The technology can be applied in the pharmaceutical industry for the production of nicotine inhalers and other medical devices aimed at helping individuals quit smoking.
Questions about the Technology
How does the nicotine transition unit in the aerosol inhaler work?
The nicotine transition unit controls the amount of nicotine transition by regulating the flow of liquid and gas propellant in the containers.
What are the potential implications of this technology for smoking cessation programs?
This technology could lead to more effective smoking cessation programs by providing a reliable and consistent method of delivering nicotine to users.
Original Abstract Submitted
An aerosol inhaler including a nicotine transition unit, wherein the nicotine transition unit includes: a first container filled with a nicotine-containing solution and a propellant; and a second container connected to the first container to be filled with the liquid in the first container, and the propellant exists in a liquid state and a gas state in the first container. The nicotine transition unit enables prediction and control the amount of nicotine transition so that the actual amount of nicotine transition does not deviate significantly from the predicted value.
