DISPLAY PANEL AND DISPLAY DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17926648 titled 'DISPLAY PANEL AND DISPLAY DEVICE
The display panel described in the patent application consists of a substrate with a light-transmissive display region and a conventional display region, along with first and second pixel drive circuits and light-emitting devices.
- The first pixel drive circuits are organized into groups and connected to the first light-emitting devices, while the second pixel drive circuits are also grouped and connected to the second light-emitting devices.
- The second light-emitting devices are positioned in the light-transmissive display region, providing a unique display configuration.
- Conductive wiring is used to connect the second light-emitting devices to the second pixel drive circuits in the conventional display region.
Potential Applications: This technology could be used in various display panels, such as televisions, monitors, and digital signage, to enhance the visual experience for users.
Problems Solved: This innovation addresses the need for improved display panel designs that optimize the placement of light-emitting devices for better image quality.
Benefits: The use of grouped pixel drive circuits and strategically positioned light-emitting devices can result in enhanced brightness, contrast, and overall display performance.
Commercial Applications: This technology could have significant implications in the consumer electronics industry, particularly in the development of high-quality displays for entertainment and advertising purposes.
Questions about the technology: 1. How does the grouping of pixel drive circuits contribute to the overall performance of the display panel? 2. What advantages do the strategically positioned light-emitting devices offer in terms of image quality and display clarity?
Original Abstract Submitted
Provided is a display panel. The display panel includes: a substrate including a light-transmissive display region and a conventional display region, a plurality of first pixel drive circuits, a plurality of first light-emitting devices, and a plurality of second pixel drive circuits that are disposed in the conventional display region, and a plurality of second light-emitting devices disposed in the light-transmissive display region. The plurality of first pixel drive circuits includes a plurality of groups of the first pixel drive circuits. The plurality of first light-emitting devices are electrically connected to the plurality of first pixel drive circuit. The plurality of second pixel drive circuits includes a plurality of groups of the second pixel drive circuits. The plurality of second light-emitting devices are electrically connected to the plurality of groups of the second pixel drive circuits by a conductive wiring.
