The method includes: in a process of displaying a first transition animation on a first screen of the electronic device, if the first transition animation displayed on the first screen is interrupted, continuing, by the electronic device, to play an unfinished part of the first transition animation on a switched-to second screen, allowing a transition animation of the electronic device to be applied to more scenarios to improve user experience.
