Abstract: inter-party communications, such as telephony communications, virtual meeting communications, or messaging communications, are switched between clients while in progress. an inter-party communication may be detected at a first client. a channel may then be opened between the first client and a second client responsive to an operator initiating switching the inter-party communication from the first client to the second client. the inter-party communication may be switched from the first client to the second client using the channel while the inter-party communication remains in progress. the inter-party communication may then be continued at the second client.

Abstract: one example method for sharing content across videoconferencing sub-meetings includes establishing a videoconferencing session including a main meeting and a first sub-meeting, transmitting, from a first client, a content to be displayed over a data stream in the main meeting, transmitting, from a second client, a request to subscribe to the data stream over which the content is transmitted, and responsive to the request to subscribe to the data stream, receiving the content to be displayed in the first sub-meeting simultaneously with the content displayed in the main meeting.
