Patent Applications by Zoom Video Communications, Inc.

20240202992.Reframing Video Feeds Around Background Layer_simplified_abstract_(zoom video communications, inc.)

Inventor(s): Thanh Le Nguyen of Belle Chasse LA (US) for zoom video communications, inc.

IPC Code(s): G06T11/00, G06T7/11, G06T7/13, G06T7/90, H04L65/75, H04N5/262

CPC Code(s): G06T11/001

Abstract: methods and systems provide for providing a virtual background within a communication session using dynamic chroma key reframing. in one embodiment, a method displays a user interface including at least one video feed corresponding to a participant of the communication session. the method receives a request to enable a selected or provided virtual background using chroma keying. the method then determines a background layer of the video feed. the method also determines edges for the background layer. next, the method crops and reframes the video feed around the edges of the background layer. the method then removes the background layer from the video feed, and adds the selected or provided virtual background to the background layer of the video feed. finally, the method displays the video feed within the communication session.

20240205035.Managing Participants In Video Conferences_simplified_abstract_(zoom video communications, inc.)

Inventor(s): John Andrew Alexander Beckmann of San Francisco CA (US) for zoom video communications, inc., Ailian Gan of San Francisco CA (US) for zoom video communications, inc., Nitasha Walia of Sunnyvale CA (US) for zoom video communications, inc., Xiaoqin Xue of Suzhou (CN) for zoom video communications, inc., Kathy Zhou of San Francisco CA (US) for zoom video communications, inc.

IPC Code(s): H04L12/18

CPC Code(s): H04L12/1818

Abstract: one example method for managing participants in video conferences includes generating, by a video conferencing server, a request for a response status for each of a plurality of invitations to a video conference, each of the plurality of invitations associated with a video conference attendee, transmitting the request to a video conferencing application executed by a client device, receiving, by the video conferencing server, the response status for each of the plurality of invitations to the video conference, initiating, by the video conference server, the video conference, generating, by the video conference server, a list of each video conference attendee and the response status for each of the plurality of invitations to the video conference, and transmitting, by the video conferencing server, the list of each video conference attendee and the response status to the video conferencing application on the client device.

20240205177.NOTETAKING AND HIGHLIGHTING MESSAGES WITHIN CHAT CHANNELS_simplified_abstract_(zoom video communications, inc.)

Inventor(s): Tania Sung-Yi Chen of Cupertino CA (US) for zoom video communications, inc.

IPC Code(s): H04L51/046, G06F3/0484, G06F40/166, G06F40/40, H04L65/403

CPC Code(s): H04L51/046

Abstract: systems and methods for notetaking and generating annotated message(s) within a chat channel are provided. in an example, a method includes establishing, by a video conference provider, a first chat channel for exchanging chat messages between a plurality of client devices and receiving, by the video conference provider, an indication from a first client device to generate a note corresponding to one or more messages within the first chat channel. the plurality of client devices may include the first client device and the indication may include note content. the method may also include generating, by the video conference provider, one or more notes including the note content corresponding to the one or more messages within the first chat channel based on the indication and storing, by the video conference provider, the one or more notes corresponding to the one or more messages within the first chat channel.

20240205178.Communication Session To Address On-Premises Conditions_simplified_abstract_(zoom video communications, inc.)

Inventor(s): Patrick John Jensen of Fresno CA (US) for zoom video communications, inc., Michael Adrian White of Alpine UT (US) for zoom video communications, inc.

IPC Code(s): H04L51/046, H04L41/5009, H04L51/48

CPC Code(s): H04L51/046

Abstract: a server identifies a condition impacting communication services at a premises housing devices. the server transmits, to multiple devices of multiple respective administrators, a message indicating the condition. the server creates a communication session for addressing the condition. the server adds accounts associated with the multiple devices of the multiple administrators to the communication session.

20240205179.NOTETAKING AND HIGHLIGHTING MESSAGES WITHIN CHAT CHANNELS_simplified_abstract_(zoom video communications, inc.)

Inventor(s): Tania Sung-Yi Chen of Cupertino CA (US) for zoom video communications, inc.

IPC Code(s): H04L51/063, H04L51/04, H04L51/212, H04N7/15

CPC Code(s): H04L51/063

Abstract: systems and methods for notetaking and generating annotated message(s) within a chat channel are provided. in an example, a method includes establishing, by a video conference provider, a first chat channel for exchanging chat messages between a plurality of client devices and receiving, by the video conference provider, an indication to annotate one or more messages within the first chat channel. the method may also include generating, by the video conference provider, one or more annotated messages within the first chat channel based on the indication and storing, by the video conference provider, the one or more annotated messages as associated with the first chat channel. examples of annotated message may include highlighting a message, flagging a message, or tagging the message.

20240205275.Moving Pages Of A Virtual Whiteboard To Breakout Rooms Associated With A Video Conference And Combining The Pages_simplified_abstract_(zoom video communications, inc.)

Inventor(s): Palmer Harold Batt of Seattle WA (US) for zoom video communications, inc., Ziyue Wang of Hefei (CN) for zoom video communications, inc.

IPC Code(s): H04L65/401

CPC Code(s): H04L65/4015

Abstract: a system may instantiate a virtual whiteboard during a video conference controlled by a host device. the whiteboard may include a first page configured to output first visual content and a second page configured to output second visual content to displays of participant devices connected to the video conference. the system may move the first page to a first breakout room associated with the video conference and the second page to a second breakout room associated with the video conference. access to the first page within the first breakout room may be limited to a first group of one or more of the participant devices connected to the first breakout room and the host device. access to the second page within the second breakout room may be limited to a second group of one or more of the participant devices connected to the second breakout room and the host device.

20240205276.IDENTIFICATION OF CLIENT DEVICE LOCATION DURING EMERGENCY_simplified_abstract_(zoom video communications, inc.)

Inventor(s): Thanh Le NGUYEN of Belle Chasse LA (US) for zoom video communications, inc., Curtis Wayne Palmer of Red Oak TX (US) for zoom video communications, inc., Jason Ramirez of McKinney TX (US) for zoom video communications, inc., Jeffrey Stanley of Hickory Creek TX (US) for zoom video communications, inc.
