SYSTEM FOR THE TREATMENT OF VESTIBULAR DYSFUNCTION - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240312356 titled 'SYSTEM FOR THE TREATMENT OF VESTIBULAR DYSFUNCTION

Abstract: A method for the treatment of vestibular dysfunction that includes providing a virtual reality device to be worn by a patient, hyper-stimulating a VOR of the patient by displaying a first density of 3D objects and suppressing the VOR of the patient by displaying a second density of 3D objects. When the VOR function is within the functional VOR criteria range, hyper-stimulating a VSR of the patient by displaying a third density of 3D objects and suppressing the VSR of the patient by displaying a fourth density of 3D objects. When the VSR function is within the functional VSR criteria range, hyper-stimulating an OOR of the patient by displaying a fifth density of 3D objects and suppressing the OOR by displaying a sixth density of three-dimensional objects. When the OOR function of the patient is within the functional OOR criteria range, concluding the vestibular dysfunction treatment on the patient.
