TRANQUILIZING SYSTEM USING HEART RATE VARIABILITY TO SIMULATE PRESENCE, SOOTHE ANXIETY, AND PROMOTE SYMPATHOVAGAL BALANCE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240226495 titled 'TRANQUILIZING SYSTEM USING HEART RATE VARIABILITY TO SIMULATE PRESENCE, SOOTHE ANXIETY, AND PROMOTE SYMPATHOVAGAL BALANCE

The abstract describes a heart rate variability collection and transmission system for simulation of presence, soothing, and vasovagal balance. The system includes means of collecting, storing, and transmitting heart rate data to activate haptic motors, audio files, or transducers at the collected rate.

  • Collection methods sense subtle variations in heart rate.
  • Data is stored in a computerized file as time intervals from the collected source.
  • Time intervals are used as instructions to activate actions at the collected rate.
  • Transmission of actions can be wireless or direct (wired).
  • Haptic motors, audio files, or transducers are activated at the collected rate to achieve the desired effect.

Potential Applications: - Healthcare for biofeedback therapy - Stress management and relaxation techniques - Virtual reality and gaming experiences

Problems Solved: - Providing real-time feedback on heart rate variability - Enhancing user experience in various applications - Improving overall well-being and relaxation

Benefits: - Personalized and adaptive feedback - Enhanced user engagement and immersion - Potential therapeutic benefits for stress-related conditions

Commercial Applications: Title: Heart Rate Variability System for Healthcare and Wellness Industries This technology can be used in healthcare facilities, wellness centers, and virtual reality gaming industries to enhance user experiences and provide therapeutic benefits.

Questions about the technology: 1. How does the system differentiate between various heart rate patterns? 2. What are the potential limitations of using this system in different environments?

Original Abstract Submitted

a heart rate variability collection and transmission system for simulation of presence, soothing and vasovagal balance includes a variety of possible means of collection, storage, and transmissibility. each means of collection senses subtle variation of heart rate. storage is via a computerized data file and consists of time intervals from the collected source. time intervals are used as instructions to perform an action such as activating a haptic motor, audio file or transducer at that collected rate. transmission of action is wireless or direct (wired). the motor, transducer, or audio-file is activated at the collected rate. the effect is achieved.
