BATTERY MODULE, BATTERY, POWER CONSUMPTION DEVICE, AND METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING BATTERY - A simplified explanation of the abstract

  • This abstract for appeared for US patent application number 18333292 Titled 'BATTERY MODULE, BATTERY, POWER CONSUMPTION DEVICE, AND METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING BATTERY'

Simplified Explanation

This abstract describes a battery module that consists of multiple battery cell columns and spacer plates. The battery cell columns are arranged in a perpendicular direction and each column contains several battery cells. The spacer plates are placed between adjacent battery cell columns and are securely attached to the battery cells. The spacer plate has a fixing structure at one end to connect it to a box body that holds the battery module.

Original Abstract Submitted

A battery module includes N battery cell columns and N−1 spacer plates. Each of the N battery cell columns includes a plurality of battery cells arranged in a first direction. The N battery cell columns are arranged in a second direction. N is an integer greater than 1, and the first direction being perpendicular to the second direction. A spacer plate extends in the first direction and is disposed between two adjacent battery cell columns of the N battery cell columns. The spacer plate is fixedly coupled to each battery cell in the two adjacent battery cell columns. An end part of the spacer plate in the first direction is provided with a fixing structure, and the fixing structure is configured to fix the spacer plate to a box body configured to accommodate the battery module.
