INFORMATION NOTIFICATION SYSTEM, INFORMATION NOTIFICATION METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240233531 titled 'INFORMATION NOTIFICATION SYSTEM, INFORMATION NOTIFICATION METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM

Simplified Explanation

An information notification system displays notifications to a user of a vehicle on a display device. It shows road traffic information and other non-traffic related information, but does not overlay them. When there is only one display area, it selects and displays one type of notification.

Key Features and Innovation

  • Displays notifications to vehicle users on a display device.
  • Shows road traffic information and other non-traffic related information separately.
  • Does not overlay different types of notifications.
  • Selects and displays one type of notification when there is only one display area.

Potential Applications

This technology can be used in vehicles to provide real-time road traffic information to drivers. It can also be applied in navigation systems to enhance user experience.

Problems Solved

This technology addresses the issue of efficiently displaying different types of information to users without cluttering the display. It ensures that important notifications are not missed by the user.

Benefits

  • Improved user experience for vehicle drivers.
  • Clear and organized display of information.
  • Enhanced safety by providing relevant road traffic updates.

Commercial Applications

  • Automotive industry for in-vehicle information systems.
  • Navigation system providers for improved user interfaces.

Prior Art

There may be prior art related to information notification systems in vehicles and navigation devices. Researchers can explore patents and publications in these areas for more information.

Frequently Updated Research

Researchers may be conducting studies on the effectiveness of information notification systems in vehicles and their impact on driver behavior and safety.

Questions about Information Notification Systems

How does the information notification system prioritize which notification to display?

The system likely uses algorithms to determine the relevance and urgency of each notification before displaying it to the user.

Can the user customize the types of notifications they receive on the display device?

Users may have the option to customize their notification preferences based on their needs and preferences.

Original Abstract Submitted

an information notification system displays a notification to a user of a vehicle on a display device. a first type notification is a notification of road traffic information on a road or traffic around the vehicle. a second type notification is a notification of information not belonging to the road traffic information or a notification that no road traffic information is available. the information notification system prohibits overlaying the first type notification and the second type notification when displayed on the display device. when the display device has only a single display area for displaying the notification, the information notification system selects and displays one of the first type notification and the second type notification in the single display area.
