CONTROL DEVICE FOR VEHICLE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240198871 titled 'CONTROL DEVICE FOR VEHICLE

Simplified Explanation:

This patent application describes a control device for a vehicle that includes a carrier for occupants or objects, an active suspension system to control forces between the carrier and the vehicle body, a vibration detector to monitor the vehicle body's vibration state, and a controller to adjust the active suspension based on the detected vibration state.

  • The control device for a vehicle includes a carrier for occupants or objects.
  • An active suspension system is installed between the carrier and the vehicle body to control forces acting between them.
  • A vibration detector is used to monitor the vibration state of the vehicle body.
  • A controller calculates the corresponding-position state amount based on the vibration detection and adjusts the active suspension accordingly.

Key Features and Innovation:

  • Active suspension system for controlling forces between carrier and vehicle body.
  • Vibration detector to monitor vehicle body's vibration state.
  • Controller to adjust active suspension based on detected vibration state.

Original Abstract Submitted

a control device for a vehicle includes: a carrier installed on a vehicle and on which an occupant or an object to be conveyed is placed; an active suspension disposed between the carrier and a body of the vehicle and capable of controlling a force that acts between the carrier and the vehicle body; a vibration detector configured to detect a vibration state of the vehicle body; and a controller configured to calculate, based on a detection result of the vibration detector, a corresponding-position state amount indicating the vibration state of a portion of the vehicle body corresponding to a position where the carrier is disposed and control the active suspension based on the corresponding-position state amount.
