VEHICLE INFORMATION MANAGEMENT DEVICE, VEHICLE INFORMATION MANAGEMENT METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240185653 titled 'VEHICLE INFORMATION MANAGEMENT DEVICE, VEHICLE INFORMATION MANAGEMENT METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a vehicle information management device that manages data writing to memory based on the remaining number of writable times. When the remaining writable times reach a certain value, the device reduces the frequency of data writing to the memory.

  • The device manages data writing to memory based on the remaining number of writable times.
  • When the remaining writable times reach a certain value, the device reduces the frequency of data writing to the memory.

Potential Applications

This technology could be applied in:

  • Automotive industry for vehicle information management systems
  • Electronic devices with limited memory write cycles

Problems Solved

This technology helps in:

  • Extending the lifespan of memory in devices
  • Optimizing data writing processes in vehicles and electronic devices

Benefits

The benefits of this technology include:

  • Improved memory management efficiency
  • Increased longevity of memory in devices
  • Enhanced performance of data writing processes

Potential Commercial Applications

  • Automotive industry for vehicle information management systems
  • Consumer electronics industry for electronic devices with limited memory write cycles

Possible Prior Art

One possible prior art could be the use of wear leveling algorithms in flash memory devices to distribute write cycles evenly across memory blocks.

Unanswered Questions

How does the device determine the remaining number of writable times to the memory?

The abstract does not provide details on the specific method used by the device to determine the remaining writable times.

What is the prescribed value at which the device reduces the write frequency of data?

The abstract does not specify the exact value at which the device decides to reduce the write frequency of data to the memory.

Original Abstract Submitted

a vehicle information management device, a vehicle information management method, and a storage medium are provided. execution circuitry writes data to a memory in conjunction with execution of each of multiple applications. the execution circuitry determines whether the remaining number of writable times to the memory has become a prescribed value or less. when the determination is affirmative, the execution circuitry reduces a write frequency of data to the memory in conjunction with execution of each application of the entirety of the applications, as compared with the write frequency of data in a case in which the determination is negative.
