Patent Applications by Tesla, Inc.

20240278358. ALUMINUM ALLOYS FOR BRAZABLE CASTING_simplified_abstract_(tesla, inc.)

Inventor(s): Grant Pattinson of Mountain View CA (US) for tesla, inc., Quinlin Hamill of Cupertino CA (US) for tesla, inc., Sivanesh Palanivel of Sunnyvale CA (US) for tesla, inc., Ricardo Komai of San Jose CA (US) for tesla, inc., Jason Robert Stucki of Livermore CA (US) for tesla, inc., John David Calderone of San Jose CA (US) for tesla, inc., Trevor Clark of Austin TX (US) for tesla, inc., Jiajie Chen of Austin TX (US) for tesla, inc.

IPC Code(s): B23K35/28, B23K103/10, C22C21/00

CPC Code(s): B23K35/286

Abstract: provided herein are aluminum alloy compositions having high conductivity. low conductivity parent materials are also described.

20240278617. ELECTRIC VEHICLE HEAT PUMP USING ENHANCED VALVE UNIT_simplified_abstract_(tesla, inc.)

Inventor(s): Prem Pinto of San Jose CA (US) for tesla, inc., Daniel F. Hanks of Palo Alto CA (US) for tesla, inc.

IPC Code(s): B60H1/00, B60H1/08

CPC Code(s): B60H1/00342

Abstract: systems, apparatuses, and methods for an enhanced heat pump are provided. an example embodiment includes a housing, the housing having a particular number of connection ports, each connection port being connected to a component of the electric vehicle, and the connection ports being configured to pass fluid; and a stemshell positioned within the housing, the stemshell comprising a plurality of channels, wherein at least a portion of the channels are in fluidic connection with the connection ports, wherein the stemshell is configured to rotate within the housing, and wherein rotation causes adjustment of the connection ports correspond which correspond to the channels.

20240278745. VEHICLE HOOD HINGE ASSEMBLY_simplified_abstract_(tesla, inc.)

Inventor(s): Rafath Rahman of Tracy CA (US) for tesla, inc., Jarad Hutchinson of Grosse Pointe MI (US) for tesla, inc., Norman Tieu of Sewell NJ (US) for tesla, inc., Tyron François of Newark NJ (US) for tesla, inc., Daniel Wood of Palo Alto CA (US) for tesla, inc.

IPC Code(s): B60R21/38, E05F15/75

CPC Code(s): B60R21/38

Abstract: a hinge assembly is provided to lift a hood of a vehicle relative to a vehicle body in anticipation of, during, or right after a collision has occurred to cushion contact with a pedestrian. the hood selectively covers a compartment of the vehicle when in a secured position. the hinge assembly includes a hinge configured to guide the hood from the secured position to both of an open position or to a pedestrian deployment position relative to the vehicle body. an actuator moves the hood from the secured position to the pedestrian deployment position. a controller controls the actuator based at least in part on a characteristic of the pedestrian.

20240280130. TAPERED THREAD-FORMING FASTENERS_simplified_abstract_(tesla, inc.)

Inventor(s): Christopher Adam Antoun of Fremont CA (US) for tesla, inc., Kenan Uslu of Fremont CA (US) for tesla, inc., Joe Yang Chin of Santa Clara CA (US) for tesla, inc.

IPC Code(s): F16B25/00, F16B37/12

CPC Code(s): F16B25/0021

Abstract: a tapered fastener adapted to be installed in an unthreaded, tapered hole in a workpiece formed of a cast material is provided. the tapered fastener can have a head and a shank. the shank can have a tapering outer face with substantially the same tapering angle as the tapered hole in the workpiece. a thread forming screw thread in the tapering outer face forms threads in the unthreaded, tapered hole as the head drives the shank into the workpiece.
