various embodiments comprise a wireless communication network configured to orchestrate metaverse services for wireless user devices. the wireless communication network comprises a metaverse orchestrator and a network slice manager. the metaverse orchestrator receives and processes a metaverse service request from a wireless user device that indicates a device location and a metaverse type. the metaverse orchestrator identifies application servers that provide metaverse services and that have sufficient capacity to serve a metaverse session. the metaverse orchestrator selects a server of the identified ones of the identified application servers based on a proximity between the device location and the geographic location of the server. the network slice manager selects a network slice to serve the metaverse session based on the metaverse type indicated by the metaverse service request.
