Problems Solved: - Enhances stereoscopic viewing experience - Improves image quality and depth perception - Provides more realistic and immersive visuals - Reduces eye strain and discomfort for viewers
Benefits: - Enhanced stereoscopic viewing experience - Improved image quality and depth perception - Realistic and immersive visuals - Reduced eye strain and discomfort - Enhanced user engagement and experience
Commercial Applications: Title: Advanced Stereoscopic Display Device for Enhanced Viewing Experience This technology can be used in various industries such as entertainment, healthcare, design, and training to provide users with a more immersive and realistic viewing experience. The device can be marketed to companies producing virtual reality headsets, 3D content, medical imaging equipment, and simulation training programs.
Questions about Stereoscopic Display Device: 1. How does the optical filter control the diffusion angles of light beams? The optical filter is designed to adjust the diffusion angles of light beams outputted from the optical element within a predetermined angular range, ensuring that the light beams fall within specific viewing angles for each viewpoint image.
2. What are the potential applications of this technology beyond entertainment? In addition to entertainment, this technology can be applied in various fields such as healthcare for medical imaging, engineering for 3D modeling, and training simulations for immersive experiences.
Original Abstract Submitted
a stereoscopic display device according to the present disclosure includes: an image display element that displays a plurality of viewpoint images; an optical element that is opposed to the image display element, and outputs a plurality of light beams corresponding to the respective viewpoint images toward respective viewpoint positions; and an optical filter that is disposed between the optical element and the plurality of view point positions, and controls diffusion angles of the light beams outputted from the optical element in such a manner that the diffusion angles fall within a predetermined angular range decided on the basis of the plurality of viewpoint positions.
