SHARE REPLICATION BETWEEN REMOTE DEPLOYMENTS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240273070 titled 'SHARE REPLICATION BETWEEN REMOTE DEPLOYMENTS

The patent application describes systems and methods for replicating share objects to remote deployments in a data sharing platform.

  • Creating a share object with access privileges in the first deployment.
  • Creating a replica of the share object in a second deployment with updated access privileges.
  • Transmitting share object metadata between deployments in response to a refresh message.
  • Updating the replica based on the share object metadata.

Potential Applications: - Data sharing platforms - Remote data replication systems - Access control mechanisms in distributed systems

Problems Solved: - Efficient replication of share objects across remote deployments - Ensuring consistent access privileges in different deployments

Benefits: - Streamlined data sharing processes - Enhanced security and access control - Improved data consistency across deployments

Commercial Applications: Title: "Remote Data Replication Systems for Enhanced Data Sharing Security" This technology can be utilized in cloud computing services, data storage solutions, and collaborative platforms to ensure secure and consistent data sharing practices.

Prior Art: Readers can explore prior research on data replication, access control mechanisms in distributed systems, and data sharing platforms to understand the evolution of this technology.

Frequently Updated Research: Researchers are constantly developing new methods for efficient data replication and access control in distributed systems. Stay updated on the latest advancements in data sharing technologies.

Questions about Remote Data Replication Systems: 1. How does this technology improve data sharing security across different deployments? 2. What are the key challenges in replicating share objects to remote deployments efficiently?

Original Abstract Submitted

provided herein are systems and methods for replicating share objects to remote deployments. an example method includes creating a share object for a first deployment of a data sharing platform. the share object includes share object metadata that describes access privileges in the first deployment. the method also includes creating, in a second deployment of the data sharing platform, a replica of the share object. the replica determines access privileges in the second deployment. the method also includes receiving, at the first deployment, a refresh message from the second deployment. the method also includes, in response to receiving the refresh message, transmitting the share object metadata from the first deployment to the second deployment and updating, by a processing device, the replica based on the share object metadata.
