GENERATING USER INTERFACES DISPLAYING AUGMENTED REALITY GRAPHICS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240282058 titled 'GENERATING USER INTERFACES DISPLAYING AUGMENTED REALITY GRAPHICS

Simplified Explanation: The patent application describes an augmented reality graphics system that coordinates the display of AR graphics created by multiple users in an environment. It uses a common origin point to determine where to display AR graphics and resolves conflicts between overlapping inputs from different users.

Key Features and Innovation:

  • Coordination of AR graphics created by multiple users.
  • Use of a common alignment object as the origin point for a real-world coordinate system.
  • Prioritization scheme to resolve conflicts between overlapping inputs from different users.

Potential Applications: The technology could be used in:

  • Collaborative AR gaming experiences.
  • Interactive AR art installations.
  • Training simulations in various industries.

Problems Solved:

  • Coordinating AR graphics from multiple users.
  • Resolving conflicts in overlapping AR graphics inputs.

Benefits:

  • Enhanced collaborative AR experiences.
  • Improved accuracy in displaying AR graphics in a shared environment.
  • Streamlined coordination of AR content creation.

Commercial Applications: Potential commercial uses include:

  • AR gaming platforms.
  • AR marketing campaigns.
  • AR training programs for businesses.

Prior Art: Readers can explore prior art related to this technology in the field of augmented reality graphics systems and collaborative AR experiences.

Frequently Updated Research: Stay informed about the latest developments in augmented reality graphics systems and collaborative AR technologies.

Questions about Augmented Reality Graphics System: 1. How does the AR graphics system determine the common origin point for the real-world coordinate system? 2. What are the implications of the prioritization scheme in resolving conflicts between overlapping inputs in the AR graphics system?

Original Abstract Submitted

an augmented reality (ar) graphics system is provided. the ar graphics system may coordinate the display of augmented reality graphics created by multiple users located in an environment. the ar graphics system may determine an alignment object located in the environment that is designated as a common origin of a real-world coordinate system that is used to determine where to display ar graphics within the environment. additionally, a prioritization scheme is implemented to resolve conflicts between overlapping input provided by different users in order to generate a single version of ar graphics.
