LIGHT SOURCE APPARATUS AND PROJECTOR - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240288758 titled 'LIGHT SOURCE APPARATUS AND PROJECTOR
The abstract describes a light source apparatus that includes multiple light sources, a combiner, a width adjuster, light collection systems, diffusers, and a homogenizing system. The apparatus aims to adjust the width and size of images formed by different luminous fluxes to match each other.
- First light source outputs a first luminous flux
- Second light source outputs a second luminous flux
- Width adjuster reduces the difference in width between the two luminous fluxes
- Combiner combines the two luminous fluxes
- Light collection systems collect the combined luminous fluxes at different positions
- Homogenizing system ensures uniformity in the combined light output
Potential Applications: - Projection systems - Photography lighting - Medical imaging devices
Problems Solved: - Inconsistencies in width and size of images formed by different light sources - Lack of uniformity in combined light output
Benefits: - Improved image quality - Enhanced lighting control - Better overall performance in various applications
Commercial Applications: Title: Advanced Lighting Solutions for Various Industries This technology can be used in: - Entertainment industry for stage lighting - Medical field for precise imaging - Automotive industry for advanced lighting systems
Questions about the technology: 1. How does the width adjuster work to reduce the difference in width between the two luminous fluxes?
The width adjuster uses a mechanism to dynamically adjust the width of the light beams to match each other.
2. What is the significance of the homogenizing system in the light source apparatus?
The homogenizing system ensures that the combined light output is uniform and consistent for better image quality.
Original Abstract Submitted
a light source apparatus according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes a first light source that outputs a first luminous flux, a second light source that outputs a second luminous flux, a combiner, a width adjuster that reduces the difference in width between the first luminous flux and the second luminous flux, a first light collection system, a first diffuser, a second light collection system, and a homogenizing system. the first luminous flux traveling via the width adjuster, the combiner, and the first light collection system is collected at a first position, and the second luminous flux traveling via the combiner and the first light collection system is collected at a second position. the width adjuster and the first light collection system approach the aspect ratio and size of a first image formed by the first luminous flux to those of a second image formed by the second luminous flux.
