PRINTING DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240109351 titled 'PRINTING DEVICE

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes a printing device with a unique guide frame design to facilitate movement of the head unit in multiple directions.

  • The head unit ejects liquid onto a medium for printing.
  • The first movement section moves the head unit in a width direction.
  • The guide frame guides the movement of the head unit in the width direction.
  • The second movement section moves the first movement section in a forward and rearward direction intersecting the width direction.
  • The guide frame includes a first bent section and a second bent section formed by bending a metal plate along the width direction.
  • The head unit is guided by a first guide section between the first and second bent sections.
