a polarizing plate and an optical display device including the same are disclosed. a polarizing plate includes a polarizer, and a first retardation layer laminated on a surface of the polarizer, the first retardation layer is a liquid crystal retardation layer, and the first retardation layer includes first regions on opposite end portions of the first retardation layer in a width direction, and a second region between the first regions, and each of the first regions has a tear strength lower than a tear strength of the second region.
