apparatuses and methods for channel state information (csi) reporting. a method performed by a user equipment (ue) includes receiving a configuration about a channel state information (csi) report; based on the configuration, determining a first set of l vectors, each with a length dependent on p, and for each layer l=1, . . . , v, a set of coefficients {c}; and transmitting the csi report including at least one first vector indicator indicating the first set of l vectors and at least one coefficient indicator indicating the set of coefficients {c}. the configuration includes information about (i) k>1 non-zero power (nzp) csi reference signal (csi-rs) resources and (ii) a codebooktype. the codebooktype indicates a codebook associated with pcsi-rs ports aggregated across the k nzp csi-rs resources. v is a number of layers, l≥1, and p>32.
