REFRIGERATOR - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240191929 titled 'REFRIGERATOR

The patent application describes a refrigerator design that eliminates the need for a separate partition member between the upper and lower inner cases, reducing storage, logistics, and production costs while increasing productivity.

  • The refrigerator includes two inner cases that form separate storage compartments, each made up of multiple plates created through injection molding.
  • An outer case is attached to the outer side of the inner cases to form the exterior of the refrigerator.
  • Insulation is placed between the inner cases and the outer case, as well as between the two inner cases.
  • A cold air guide, surrounded by insulation between the inner cases, creates a cold air flow path connecting the storage compartments.

Potential Applications: This technology can be applied in the manufacturing of refrigerators for residential, commercial, and industrial use.

Problems Solved: The design eliminates the need for a separate partition member, reducing costs and increasing efficiency in refrigerator production.

Benefits: Cost-effective design, increased productivity, improved storage capacity, and enhanced energy efficiency.

Commercial Applications: This innovation can be utilized by refrigerator manufacturers to streamline production processes, reduce costs, and offer more efficient products to consumers.

Questions about the technology: 1. How does this design impact the overall energy efficiency of the refrigerator? 2. What are the potential challenges in implementing this design in mass production?

Original Abstract Submitted

disclosed is a refrigerator that does not include a separate partition member disposed between an upper inner case and a lower inner case to reduce storage costs, logistics costs, and production costs, and to increase productivity. the refrigerator includes n first and second inner cases forming a first and second storage compartments and including a plurality of first and second plates each formed by injection molding; an outer case coupled to an outer side of the first and second inner cases to form an exterior of the refrigerator; an insulation provided between the first and second inner cases and the outer case and between the first inner case and the second inner case; and a cold air guide surrounded by the insulation between the first and second inner cases, and configured to form a cold air flow path communicating the first and second storage compartments.
