AIR CONDITIONER - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240183546 titled 'AIR CONDITIONER
Simplified Explanation
The abstract describes an air conditioner with a panel that can be attached or detached from the housing, allowing access to filters for maintenance.
- The air conditioner includes a panel with an inlet for air intake, a first filter for initial air filtration, and a second filter for further air filtration.
- A lifter mechanism allows the panel to be lowered for maintenance, providing access to the filters, and then lifted back into place for operation.
Potential Applications
The technology could be used in various air conditioning systems for residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
Problems Solved
1. Easy access for maintenance of filters without the need for disassembling the entire unit. 2. Efficient filtration of air to improve indoor air quality.
Benefits
1. Improved air quality due to dual filtration system. 2. Simplified maintenance process for the filters. 3. Extended lifespan of the air conditioner due to regular filter maintenance.
Potential Commercial Applications
"Efficient Air Filtration System for HVAC Units"
Possible Prior Art
Prior art may include air conditioning units with removable panels for filter maintenance, but the specific lifter mechanism described in this patent application may be unique.
Unanswered Questions
1. What is the expected lifespan of the filters before they need to be replaced? 2. How does the lifter mechanism operate to ensure a secure attachment of the panel to the housing after maintenance?
Original Abstract Submitted
an air conditioner includes a housing comprising an outlet, a panel attachable to or detachable from a lower side of the housing, the panel comprising an inlet to introduce air therethrough, a first filter installable to the panel to filter the introduced air, a second filter installable to the panel at an upper side of the first filter and configured to further filter the introduced air, and a lifter configured to detach the panel from the lower side of the housing by lowering the panel from an initial position to a maintenance position in a vertical direction, and to attach the panel to the lower side of the housing by lifting the panel from the maintenance position to the initial position in the vertical direction. by lowering the panel to the maintenance position, one or more of the first filter and the second filter are accessible for the maintenance.
