REFRIGERATOR - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240159447 titled 'REFRIGERATOR

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes a refrigerator with an inner case, outer case, and hot pipe to prevent dew formation on the outer case. The inner case includes a seating groove with ribs to hold the hot pipe in close contact with the outer case.

  • Inner case with storage compartment and plates formed by injection molding
  • Outer case coupled to inner case to form exterior
  • Hot pipe on front flange of inner case to prevent dew
  • Seating groove on front flange to hold hot pipe
  • Ribs within seating groove to keep hot pipe in close contact with outer case

Potential Applications

The technology described in this patent application could be applied to various refrigeration systems and appliances to prevent dew formation on the exterior surfaces, improving overall performance and efficiency.

Problems Solved

This technology solves the problem of dew formation on the outer case of refrigerators, which can lead to water damage and reduced efficiency. By using a hot pipe in close contact with the outer case, dew formation is prevented.

Benefits

The benefits of this technology include improved performance and efficiency of refrigerators, reduced maintenance requirements, and increased durability of the outer case due to prevention of water damage.

Potential Commercial Applications

The technology described in this patent application could be used in commercial refrigeration units, household refrigerators, and other cooling systems where dew formation on the exterior surfaces is a concern. The section title for this could be "Commercial Applications of Refrigerator Dew Prevention Technology".

Possible Prior Art

One possible prior art for this technology could be the use of heating elements or anti-condensation coatings on the exterior surfaces of refrigerators to prevent dew formation. However, the specific design of using a hot pipe in close contact with the outer case as described in this patent application may be a novel approach to solving the problem of dew formation.

Original Abstract Submitted

disclosed herein is a refrigerator including an inner case having a storage compartment therein and including a plurality of plates each formed by injection molding, an outer case coupled to the outside of the inner case to form the exterior thereof, and a hot pipe seated on a front flange of the inner case to prevents dew from forming on the outer case, wherein the inner case includes a seating groove provided on the front flange to seat the hot pipe, and a plurality of ribs provided within the seating groove and formed integrally with the inner case so that the hot pipe is in close contact with the outer case.
