DISPLAY PANEL AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF THE SAME - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240276786 titled 'DISPLAY PANEL AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF THE SAME

The display panel described in the patent application consists of multiple layers and components that work together to emit light and display images.

  • The panel includes a first anode, a pixel defining layer with a light emitting opening, a partition wall with a corresponding opening, a conductive pattern, a cathode, and an emission pattern.
  • The conductive pattern is placed on the anode and contacts the pixel defining layer, while the cathode is partially placed in the partition wall opening and overlaps the conductive pattern.
  • The emission pattern is positioned between the conductive pattern and the cathode to facilitate light emission.

Potential Applications:

  • This technology can be used in various display devices such as televisions, monitors, and smartphones.
  • It can also be applied in signage, advertising displays, and automotive displays.

Problems Solved:

  • The technology addresses the need for efficient and reliable light emission in display panels.
  • It also solves the challenge of ensuring proper contact between different layers for optimal performance.

Benefits:

  • Improved display quality with enhanced light emission capabilities.
  • Increased durability and longevity of display panels.

Commercial Applications:

  • The technology can be utilized by electronics manufacturers to enhance the performance of their display products, leading to better customer satisfaction and potentially increased sales.

Questions about the technology: 1. How does the placement of the conductive pattern impact the overall performance of the display panel? 2. What are the potential cost implications of implementing this technology in mass-produced devices?

Original Abstract Submitted

a display panel includes a first anode, a pixel defining layer disposed on a base layer and provided with a first light emitting opening, a partition wall disposed on the pixel defining layer and provided with a first partition wall opening corresponding to the first light emitting opening, a first conductive pattern disposed in the first light emitting opening and disposed on the first anode, a first cathode at least partially disposed in the first partition wall opening and disposed over the first conductive pattern, and a first emission pattern disposed between the first conductive pattern and the first cathode. the first conductive pattern contacts a side surface of the pixel defining layer which defines the first light emitting opening.
