VIRTUAL REALITY CONTROL SYSTEM - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240216805 titled 'VIRTUAL REALITY CONTROL SYSTEM
The abstract describes a virtual reality control system that includes a sensor, two displays for different users, and controllers to prevent collisions between users in a play space.
- Simplified Explanation:
The patent application describes a system that uses virtual reality technology to prevent collisions between users in a shared play space.
- Key Features and Innovation:
- Sensor detects optical signals from target objects - Two displays for different users in the play space - Controllers allocate safe areas to prevent collisions - Collision prevention guide is output when a user leaves their safe area
- Potential Applications:
- Virtual reality gaming - Training simulations - Collaborative design projects
- Problems Solved:
- Preventing collisions between users in a shared virtual space - Enhancing user safety and experience in virtual reality environments
- Benefits:
- Improved user experience in shared virtual reality environments - Enhanced safety measures for users interacting in the same play space
- Commercial Applications:
"Virtual Reality Collision Prevention System: Enhancing User Safety in Shared Environments"
- Questions about Virtual Reality Collision Prevention System:
1. How does the system allocate safe areas to prevent collisions? - The system uses controllers to assign safe areas to each user based on their location in the play space. 2. What are the potential applications of this technology beyond gaming? - This technology can be used in training simulations, collaborative design projects, and other virtual reality applications.
Original Abstract Submitted
a virtual reality control system comprises: a sensor configured to detect an optical signal by emitting light to a target object and receiving light; a first display configured to output an image to a first user who uses a play space; a second display configured to output an image to a second user who uses the play space; and at least one or more controllers configured to control at least one of the first display and the second display, wherein the controller is configured to: allocate a first safe area to the first user and allocate a second safe area to the second user in order to prevent a collision between the first user and the second user; and output a collision prevention guide when the second user leaves the second safe area.
