SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND DEVICES FOR AUDITORY ENHANCEMENT - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240244387 titled 'SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND DEVICES FOR AUDITORY ENHANCEMENT

The patent application describes a sub-frequency volume control unit that allows for additional control of sub-frequency volume in a signal sent from a source unit to a subwoofer, ensuring the subwoofer does not exceed its maximum volume level set by the source unit.

  • Sub-frequency volume control circuit receives the audio signal and generates a sub-amplifier signal.
  • Variable volume control input device allows manual selection of amplification level for the sub-amplifier signal.
  • The sub-frequency volume control circuit only amplifies the audio signal if the master volume controller is below the maximum volume level.
  • Output provides the sub-amplifier signal to the subwoofer.

Potential Applications: - Home audio systems - Car audio systems - Professional sound systems

Problems Solved: - Ensures subwoofers do not exceed their maximum volume level - Provides additional control over sub-frequency volume

Benefits: - Improved audio quality - Prevents damage to subwoofers - Enhanced user control over audio settings

Commercial Applications: Title: Sub-Frequency Volume Control Unit for Audio Systems This technology can be used in various audio systems to enhance sound quality and provide users with more control over their audio experience. It can be marketed to audio equipment manufacturers and consumers looking to upgrade their sound systems.

Prior Art: Prior art related to this technology may include patents or research on volume control units for audio systems, subwoofer amplification circuits, and signal processing in audio equipment.

Frequently Updated Research: Research on advancements in audio signal processing, subwoofer technology, and user interface design for audio systems may be relevant to this technology.

Questions about Sub-Frequency Volume Control Units: 1. How does the sub-frequency volume control unit prevent the subwoofer from exceeding its maximum volume level? - The sub-frequency volume control unit only amplifies the audio signal if the master volume controller is below the maximum volume level, ensuring the subwoofer does not exceed its limits.

2. What are the potential applications of a sub-frequency volume control unit in professional sound systems? - A sub-frequency volume control unit can be used in professional sound systems to provide precise control over subwoofer volume levels, ensuring optimal audio quality during performances or events.

Original Abstract Submitted

systems, methods, and devices are provided for a sub-frequency volume control unit for providing additional control of sub-frequency volume in a signal provided from a source unit to a subwoofer, without exceeding a maximum volume level of the subwoofer, the source unit having a master volume controller and a maximum volume level. the sub-frequency volume control unit may comprise: a sub-frequency volume control circuit for receiving the first audio signal and for generating a sub-amplifier signal; a variable volume control input device, wherein the sub-amplifier signal is amplified by an amount that is variably selected manually using the variable volume control input device, and wherein the sub-frequency volume control circuit is configured to amplify the first audio signal if, and only if, the master volume controller is providing the first audio signal at less than the maximum volume level; and an output for providing the sub-amplifier signal to a subwoofer.
