SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TWO-STAGE EVENT NOTIFICATION - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240250863 titled 'SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TWO-STAGE EVENT NOTIFICATION

The abstract describes a patent application for a system that generates data payloads to describe events, including a priority value for urgency. Text-based notifications are created based on the payload contents and formatted for text transmission services, then sent to user devices. Additionally, audio-based notifications are selectively generated and transmitted based on the priority value, time duration, and acknowledgment states of user devices, providing a two-stage event notification system.

  • Data payloads are generated to describe events with a priority value for urgency.
  • Text-based notifications are created and formatted for text transmission services.
  • Audio-based notifications are selectively generated based on priority, time duration, and acknowledgment states.
  • The system provides a two-stage event notification system with text and audio notifications.
  • Notifications are transmitted to user devices for timely and effective communication.

Potential Applications: - Emergency alerts and notifications - Event reminders and updates - Critical information dissemination

Problems Solved: - Ensuring timely and effective communication of urgent information - Providing a multi-stage notification system for different levels of urgency

Benefits: - Improved response times to critical events - Enhanced user experience with varied notification options - Increased efficiency in information dissemination

Commercial Applications: Title: Enhanced Event Notification System for Improved Communication This technology can be used in emergency response systems, event management platforms, and communication services for businesses and organizations. It can also be integrated into mobile applications for real-time updates and alerts.

Questions about the technology: 1. How does the system determine the priority value for generating audio-based notifications? 2. What are the potential challenges in implementing this two-stage event notification system effectively?

a data payload is generated to describe an event, and includes a priority value indicating a level of urgency for response. text-based notifications are generated to have text content based on the payload contents and formatted according to a format standard for one or more text transmission services, and then transmitted to user devices. additionally, audio-based notifications, having audio content based on the payload contents, are selectively generated and transmitted based on the priority value of the data payload, on an elapsing of a time duration associated with the priority value of the data payload, and on acknowledgment states of the user devices. in this manner, a two-stage event notification providing both text-based notifications and escalated audio-based notifications is achieved.
