UU BASED V2N2V SIDELINK COMMUNICATIONS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240306142 titled 'UU BASED V2N2V SIDELINK COMMUNICATIONS

Simplified Explanation: The patent application describes a method for wireless communication between a first user equipment (UE) and a group of UEs, including at least one second UE, facilitated by a group identifier (ID) associated with the communication.

  • The first UE transmits the group ID to a first network entity to indicate communication within the group of UEs.
  • The group ID helps identify the second UE to the first network entity through a second network entity.
  • Communication between the first UE and the second UE is then established via a UMTS connection through the first and second network entities.

Key Features and Innovation:

  • Use of a group ID to facilitate communication between UEs in different cells.
  • Improved efficiency of wireless communication by enabling connections among UEs served by different cells.

Potential Applications: This technology can be applied in various wireless communication systems to enhance connectivity and efficiency.

Problems Solved:

  • Facilitates communication between UEs in different cells.
  • Improves the efficiency of wireless communication.

Benefits:

  • Enhanced connectivity among UEs.
  • Improved efficiency in wireless communication.

Commercial Applications: Potential commercial applications include telecommunications systems, IoT devices, and other wireless communication technologies.

Prior Art: Prior art related to this technology may include research on group communication methods in wireless networks.

Frequently Updated Research: Stay updated on advancements in wireless communication systems and group communication protocols for potential improvements in this technology.

Questions about Wireless Communication: 1. How does the group ID improve communication efficiency among UEs? 2. What are the potential challenges in implementing this method in real-world wireless networks?

Original Abstract Submitted

a method for wireless communication at a first user equipment (ue) and related apparatus are provided. in the method, the first ue transmits, for a first network entity, an indication of a group identifier (id) associated with communication between a group of ues. the group of ues includes the first ue and at least one second ue, and the group id is associated with an identification of the at least one second ue by the first network entity via a second network entity. the first ue further communicates, based on the group id, with the at least one second ue through a ue-universal mobile telecommunications system (umts) connection via the first network entity and the second network entity. the method facilitates the connection among ues served by different cells and improves the efficiency of wireless communication.
