RESPONSE TO UE REQUESTING MSG3 PUSCH REPETITIONS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240215063 titled 'RESPONSE TO UE REQUESTING MSG3 PUSCH REPETITIONS

The patent application discusses systems and methods for responding to repetition requests of a UE for a PUSCH transmission or retransmission during a random access procedure.

  • The UE can request repetitions of a PUSCH transmission or retransmission for a random access msg3 from a base station.
  • The base station provides an indication to the UE on how to determine the number of repetitions needed for the transmission.
  • The UE can transmit the number of repetitions based on the indication received from the base station.

Potential Applications: - This technology can be used in wireless communication systems to improve the reliability of random access procedures. - It can enhance the performance of UE devices in transmitting and receiving data during initial access to a network.

Problems Solved: - Addressing the need for efficient handling of repetition requests during random access procedures. - Improving the overall reliability and success rate of random access transmissions.

Benefits: - Enhanced communication reliability for UE devices. - Improved network performance during random access procedures.

Commercial Applications: Title: Enhanced Random Access Procedures in Wireless Communication Systems This technology can be utilized by telecommunication companies to optimize random access procedures in their networks, leading to improved connectivity and user experience. It can also benefit device manufacturers by enhancing the performance of UE devices in various network environments.

Questions about the technology: 1. How does this technology impact the overall efficiency of random access procedures in wireless communication systems? 2. What are the potential implications of using this technology for network operators and device manufacturers?

Original Abstract Submitted

this disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus, and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for responses to msg3 pusch repetition requests of a ue. in a first aspect, the ue may transmit, to a base station, a request for repetitions of at least one of a pusch transmission or a pusch retransmission for a random access msg3 and receive, from the base station, an indication to use one or more fields to determine a number of repetitions of the at least one of the pusch transmission or the pusch retransmission for the random access msg3. in a second aspect, the transmitted request may indicate to the base station to use the one or more fields to determine the number of the repetitions of the at least one of the pusch transmission or the pusch retransmission. the ue may transmit the number of repetitions based on the transmitted indication.
