NESTING CONFIGURED GRANT - SMALL DATA TRANSFER OCCASIONS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240205926 titled 'NESTING CONFIGURED GRANT - SMALL DATA TRANSFER OCCASIONS

Simplified Explanation: The patent application relates to wireless communication, where a user equipment (UE) receives a configuration message from a base station indicating radio resource allocation and transmission schemes for small data transfer occasions. The UE can then transmit uplink communication within these occasions using the allocated resources and schemes.

  • Nested small data transfer occasions
  • Radio resource allocation and transmission schemes for data transfer
  • Uplink communication from UE to base station
  • Optimization of resource usage for efficient data transfer
  • Wireless communication technology advancement

Potential Applications: - Enhanced data transfer efficiency in wireless communication systems - Improved resource allocation for small data transfers - Increased capacity and throughput in wireless networks

Problems Solved: - Efficient utilization of radio resources for small data transfers - Optimization of transmission schemes for improved data transfer performance - Enhanced communication reliability in wireless networks

Benefits: - Faster and more reliable small data transfers - Optimal resource allocation leading to improved network performance - Enhanced user experience with efficient data transmission

Commercial Applications: The technology can be applied in various industries such as telecommunications, IoT, and mobile computing to improve data transfer efficiency and network performance, leading to better user experiences and increased productivity.

Questions about Wireless Communication: 1. How does the nested small data transfer occasions concept improve data transfer efficiency in wireless communication? 2. What are the potential challenges in implementing optimized resource allocation for small data transfers in wireless networks?

Frequently Updated Research: Researchers are continuously exploring ways to enhance resource allocation algorithms and transmission schemes for small data transfers in wireless communication systems to further improve efficiency and performance.

Original Abstract Submitted

various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. in some aspects, a user equipment (ue) may receive, from a base station, a configuration message that indicates a radio resource allocation and a transmission scheme for one or more first configured grant—small data transfer (cg-sdt) occasions and one or more second cg-sdt occasions. the one or more second cg-sdt occasions are at least partially nested, in time, frequency, or a combination thereof, within the one or more first cg-sdt occasions. the ue may therefore transmit, to the base station, an uplink communication within the one or more first cg-sdt occasions or the one or more second cg-sdt occasions, using the radio resource allocation and the transmission scheme. numerous other aspects are provided.
