systems and methods for configuration of a cloud application are disclosed. inputs including selections of graphical icons for addition to a graphical canvas area can be received from a client device. the graphical icons can be displayed by the graphical canvas area, wherein a topology of the cloud application is configured based on the graphical canvas area. an input including a selection of a graphical connection indicator between the graphical icons for addition to the graphical canvas area can be received. the graphical connection indicator can be displayed by the graphical canvas area and represent a network connection between a first and a second component corresponding to the first and second graphical icons. a cloud application can be caused to deploy to a cloud environment hosted by a cloud computing system, the cloud application having the topology indicated by the graphical canvas area.
