INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240160810 titled 'INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes an information processing system that utilizes particle filters to estimate the states of multiple systems. The system includes a determination unit to assess the risk of each system's state and a calculation unit to allocate particles based on this risk, ensuring a minimum number of particles are allocated to all systems.

  • Particle filters used for estimating states of multiple systems
  • Determination unit assesses risk of each system's state
  • Calculation unit allocates particles based on risk, ensuring minimum allocation to all systems

Potential Applications

This technology could be applied in various fields such as autonomous vehicles, robotics, financial forecasting, and environmental monitoring.

Problems Solved

This technology helps in accurately estimating the states of multiple systems, leading to better decision-making and improved system performance.

Benefits

The system provides a more reliable and efficient way to estimate states of multiple systems, leading to enhanced overall system performance and risk assessment.

Potential Commercial Applications

Potential commercial applications include use in industries such as finance, healthcare, transportation, and manufacturing for improved system monitoring and decision-making.

Possible Prior Art

One possible prior art could be the use of particle filters in single-system state estimation, but the innovation lies in applying this technique to multiple systems simultaneously.

=== What are the specific industries that could benefit from this technology? Industries such as aerospace, defense, energy, and telecommunications could benefit from this technology by improving system monitoring and decision-making processes.

=== How does this technology compare to traditional state estimation methods? This technology offers a more robust and accurate way to estimate the states of multiple systems compared to traditional methods, leading to better overall system performance and risk assessment.

Original Abstract Submitted

an information processing system according to the present disclosure is an information processing system that forms a plurality of particle filters for estimating states of a plurality of systems. the information processing system includes a determination unit configured to determine a risk of the state of each of the systems based on the state of each of the systems, and a calculation unit configured to calculate the number of particles to be allocated to each of the systems based on the risk and also calculate the number of particles so as to allocate at least a preset minimum number of particles to all the systems.
