WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, WIRELESS COMMUNICATION METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240120965 titled 'WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, WIRELESS COMMUNICATION METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM

Simplified Explanation

The wireless communication system described in the abstract includes a transmission apparatus that transmits wireless signals using multiple transmitting antenna elements, and a reception apparatus that receives the wireless signal using multiple receiving antenna elements. The reception apparatus separates the reception signals, generates correlation information, and generates phase control information based on the correlation information. The transmission apparatus synthesizes transmission signals, adjusts the phase of each signal based on the phase control information.

  • Explanation of the patent/innovation:

- Transmission apparatus uses multiple transmitting antenna elements to send wireless signals. - Reception apparatus uses multiple receiving antenna elements to receive wireless signals. - Reception apparatus separates reception signals and generates correlation information. - Phase control information is generated based on the correlation information. - Transmission apparatus synthesizes transmission signals and adjusts their phase based on the phase control information.

  • Potential applications of this technology:

- Wireless communication systems - Antenna technology - Signal processing systems

  • Problems solved by this technology:

- Improved signal reception and transmission quality - Enhanced signal separation and processing capabilities - Efficient use of multiple antenna elements

  • Benefits of this technology:

  • Potential commercial applications of this technology:

- Telecommunications industry - Internet of Things (IoT) devices - Satellite communication systems

  • Possible prior art:

- Beamforming technology in wireless communication systems - Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) systems

Questions: 1. How does the phase control information improve the performance of the wireless communication system? 2. What specific industries or applications can benefit the most from this technology?

Original Abstract Submitted

a wireless communication system includes: a transmission apparatus that transmits a wireless signal including a plurality of wireless transmission signals, by using a plurality of transmitting antenna elements; and a reception apparatus that receives the wireless signal, as a plurality of wireless reception signals, by using a plurality of receiving antenna elements. the reception apparatus generates a plurality of separated reception signals by performing a signal separation process on the plurality of wireless reception signals, generates correlation information about the separated reception signals, and generates phase control information on the basis of the correlation information. the transmission apparatus generates the plurality of synthesized transmission signals by performing the signal synthesis process on the plurality of transmission signals, and adjusts the phase of each of the synthesized transmission signals, by a phase shift amount calculated on the basis of the phase control information.
