TERMINAL CONTROL SYSTEM, TERMINAL CONTROL APPARATUS, AND TERMINAL CONTROL METHOD - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240107403 titled 'TERMINAL CONTROL SYSTEM, TERMINAL CONTROL APPARATUS, AND TERMINAL CONTROL METHOD

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a patent application for a terminal control system that manages the switching process of a wireless terminal's connection destination based on its location and weather conditions.

  • The system switches the connection destination of the wireless terminal between a wireless base station and a free-space optical communication apparatus.
  • It acquires weather information for the area where the wireless terminal is located.
  • Based on the weather information, the system instructs the wireless terminal to stop switching connections and maintain connection with the wireless base station.

Potential Applications

This technology could be applied in various industries such as telecommunications, weather monitoring, and outdoor wireless communication systems.

Problems Solved

1. Seamless connection management for wireless terminals in changing weather conditions. 2. Efficient utilization of different communication technologies based on environmental factors.

Benefits

1. Improved reliability and stability of wireless connections. 2. Enhanced performance and adaptability of wireless terminals. 3. Optimal use of available communication resources.

Potential Commercial Applications

"Enhancing Wireless Communication Reliability and Efficiency in Changing Environments"

Possible Prior Art

There may be prior art related to weather-based connection management systems for wireless devices, but specific examples are not provided in the abstract.

Unanswered Questions

How does the system determine the optimal connection destination based on weather information?

The abstract does not detail the specific criteria or algorithms used by the system to make decisions based on weather conditions.

What types of weather information are considered in the decision-making process?

The abstract does not specify the specific weather parameters or sources of weather data used by the system to determine when to switch connection destinations.

Original Abstract Submitted

a terminal control system causes a wireless terminal to perform a switching process of switching a connection destination of the wireless terminal in accordance with the wireless terminal being located at such a position as to be capable of establishing connection both with a wireless base station and with a free-space optical communication apparatus, acquires weather information regarding an area in which the wireless terminal is located, and causes, in accordance with the weather information, the wireless terminal to stop the switching process of switching the connection destination of the wireless terminal from the wireless base station to the free-space optical communication apparatus.
