CONSTRAINING INJECTION OF UNLOCKING TRANSACTION BYTECODE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240211943 titled 'CONSTRAINING INJECTION OF UNLOCKING TRANSACTION BYTECODE

The techniques presented in this patent application are related to distributed ledger technologies, such as consensus-based blockchains. The methods and systems disclosed involve causing a node in a blockchain network to receive and validate transactions, generate signatures, and execute scripts to validate transactions.

  • Receiving a first transaction at a node in a blockchain network for validation, which includes a set of field values.
  • Obtaining a second transaction that has been validated and includes a script to generate a signature based on a private cryptographic key and a mask number.
  • Validating the first transaction by executing scripts from both the first and second transactions.

Potential Applications: - Secure and efficient transaction validation in blockchain networks. - Enhanced security and privacy in digital transactions. - Streamlining processes in financial transactions and smart contracts.

Problems Solved: - Ensuring the integrity and authenticity of transactions in blockchain networks. - Providing a secure method for generating and validating signatures. - Improving the efficiency of transaction validation processes.

Benefits: - Increased security and trust in blockchain transactions. - Enhanced privacy protection for sensitive data. - Improved efficiency and accuracy in transaction validation.

Commercial Applications: Title: Secure Transaction Validation Technology for Blockchain Networks This technology can be applied in various industries such as finance, healthcare, supply chain management, and legal sectors. It can streamline transaction processes, enhance security, and improve overall efficiency in digital transactions.

Questions about Secure Transaction Validation Technology for Blockchain Networks: 1. How does this technology improve the security of blockchain transactions? - This technology enhances security by validating transactions through scripts and generating signatures based on private cryptographic keys. 2. What are the potential applications of this technology beyond blockchain networks? - This technology can be applied in various industries for secure and efficient transaction validation processes.

Original Abstract Submitted

techniques presented are related to distributed ledge technologies such as consensus-based blockchains. the methods and systems of the present disclosure are provided for causing receiving, at a node in a blockchain network, a first transaction to validate, the first transaction including a first script that at least: includes a set of field values of the first transaction; and causes, as a result of being executed, the node to obtain the set of field values; obtaining a second transaction, the second transaction having been validated and including a second script that, as a result of being executed, causes the node to at least generate a signature based at least in part on a private cryptographic key and a mask number; and validating the first transaction by executing the first script and the second script.
