Dynamic Control of Multi-Nested OKR Alignment - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240338634 titled 'Dynamic Control of Multi-Nested OKR Alignment

The abstract describes a method for dynamically controlling the alignment of multi-nested Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) through an application service provider server with a processor. The method involves executing an enterprise application on a remote computing system, displaying a user interface corresponding to a goal-setting feature of the enterprise application, receiving user input including an alignment permission policy for a multi-nested OKR, and applying the alignment permission policy to the OKR.

  • Method for dynamically controlling the alignment of multi-nested Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)
  • Implemented via an application service provider server with a processor
  • Involves executing an enterprise application on a remote computing system
  • Displaying a user interface for goal-setting during the execution of the enterprise application
  • Receiving user input including an alignment permission policy for a multi-nested OKR
  • Applying the alignment permission policy to the OKR

Potential Applications: - Performance management systems - Strategic planning tools - Project management software

Problems Solved: - Streamlining goal alignment processes - Enhancing collaboration among enterprise users - Improving the efficiency of goal-setting activities

Benefits: - Increased transparency in goal alignment - Enhanced communication among team members - Better tracking and monitoring of progress towards objectives

Commercial Applications: Title: "Enhanced Goal Alignment System for Enterprises" This technology can be used in various industries such as technology, finance, healthcare, and education to improve goal-setting processes, enhance team collaboration, and drive organizational success.

Questions about the technology: 1. How does this method improve the alignment of multi-nested OKRs within enterprises? 2. What are the key features that set this technology apart from traditional goal-setting systems?

Original Abstract Submitted

a method for dynamically controlling the alignment of multi-nested objectives and key results (okrs) is implemented via an application service provider server including a processor. the method includes executing, via a network, an enterprise application on a remote computing system and causing surfacing of a user interface on the display of the remote computing system during the execution of the enterprise application, where the user interface corresponds to a goal-setting feature of the enterprise application. the method also includes receiving, via the surfaced user interface, user input including an alignment permission policy for a multi-nested okr of an enterprise, where the alignment permission policy defines a list of enterprise users who are allowed to align child okr objects to a parent objective of the multi-nested okr. the method further includes applying the alignment permission policy to the multi-nested okr.
